1. Woodbridge Tide Mill – There has been a tidal mill stood on the site of the one you see today sine the 12th Century. In by the early 1950's this was the only tidal mill surviving in the whole of the UK. Then in 1957, the oak shaft on which the wheel was attached broke and so operation of the mill then ceased.

However, because of it being the only surviving tidal mill in the UK local groups decided to rally together and raise the funds to restore it. This was achieved in 1982 and was reopened as a fully working tidal mill in the same year. However, do not expect to see the wheel turning all the time unfortunately it only works when the tide is at the right level.

2. Laxfield & District Museum – This is located in the Guildhall in Woodbridge and not only tells you about the history of the town, but also about the communities which surround it. In here, you will find information that goes back to when the earliest settlements were formed and there is plenty that will keep the young and old alike interested.

3. Deben Cruises – The town itself is situated by the River Deben and if you would like to enjoy a beautiful afternoon just relaxing then why not get tickets for the cruise. Throughout the whole cruise, a running commentary is provided by one of the cruise members and it is covered so no matter what the weather is like you can still have enjoyable time. However, these cruises only take place during the months from May to September and you will need to book prior to taking one.

When it comes to visiting the town of Woodbridge, you will find that you have a number of different accommodation choices. Certainly, you may find that it could take you some considerable time to decide where to stay in Woodbridge during your visit because of this.
