The Air I Breathe - Loaded With Pollutants

By: Kent Higgins..

Even if you spend hours cleaning your home, it will not do much to clean up the air quality. The air in your home is trapped there, keeping your home warmer in cold temperatures and cooler in warm temperatures, but it makes the air stale. Cleaning may actually hurt the air quality because of the chemicals used for cleaning and because you are stirring up dust and dirt.

In addition, the air in your home can become polluted with pet dander. Forced air furnaces circulate dirt and polluted air around your hoe. You must change the filters in the furnace at least every spring and fall. Tobacco is a very dangerous home air pollutant.

The health risks of the smoke is bad for your health, and having it stuck in the air of your home is bad. If you are a smoker or you have a smoker visiting your home, it should be done outdoors if possible. Finally, pollutants such as gases, smog, and other urban particles can get into your home and get stuck.

Filtering the air with an air purifier can fix all of these problems. Just one purifier will not necessarily filter all of the air in your home. You may have to put one in each room, especially each room your pet spends a lot of time.

There are different types of purifiers that focus on filtering out specific pollutants. Some filters are made to remove air borne particles whereas the focus of others is to absorb odors. The higher quality air purifiers will filter both particles and odors.

To ensure that the air in your home is as clean as your home physically looks, you should get a home air purifier with filters equipped with HEPA. Look into the HEPA technology and activated carbon, because it is a very helpful healthy technology. You can live a healthier life using HEPA filtering the air in the main living areas of your home.
